Ryan S. Kerbel, B.Sc., D.Ch., Chiropodist, Foot Specialist

Ryan S. Kerbel has always been intrigued by medical sciences, has a passion for helping others, and is respected for his professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness. From a young age, he has envisioned himself as a primary health care professional, and chose to become a Chiropodist/Foot Specialist, practicing at Foot Medical Centre in Newmarket, Ontario.

Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.), majoring in biology and premedical sciences from York University. During his undergrad, he shared his enthusiasm for medical sciences by becoming a chapter leader for Project Sunshine Toronto, and the president of York University’s Hospital Volunteer Association. He then studied Podiatric Medicine at the Michener Institute, where he ​graduated with an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Chiropody (D.Ch.).

Ryan has gained invaluable experience from many clinical environments whose primary focus was on podiatric dermatology, wound care and orthotic therapy, and many community health centres that specialized in diabetic foot care. He has special interest in sports medicine; diabetic foot care; children’s foot care (podopediatrics); biomechanics of the lower limb and custom made orthotics.

Ryan is a registered member with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO), the Prince Edward Island Podiatry Association (PEIPA), the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine (CFPM), and the Canadian Association of Wound Care (CAWC).
